June 27 is National HIV Testing Day, and we want you to celebrate by getting tested!
Check out these 4 good reasons to get tested for HIV. You can find HIV testing locations (including free and low-cost testing) near you using the CDC’s site locator here. If you’re 10-22 years old in NYC, you can call (212) 423-3000 to get confidential HIV testing and other health services at no cost to you at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center. Tests are painless cheek swabs, and results take 20 minutes!
Keep in mind that HIV is spread through blood, semen (or come/cum), vaginal fluids, rectal fluids, and breast milk—NOT through saliva or casual contact. Learn more about HIV.
